About Courtney Guertin, Marketing Consultant (CGMC)
CGMC was founded in 2017 by Courtney Guertin, a strategic marketing and communications executive and consultant with specialized expertise in marketing strategy, communications, branding, graphic design, public relations, content marketing, digital and social media marketing, advertising and web design.
Prior to starting her own consultancy firm, Courtney was the Marketing & Communications Director for LIN Media (NYSE:LIN) and Media General (NYSE:MEG), two of the largest local television and digital media companies in the U.S. She held that role for over a decade until the company's $5.4 billion merger with Nexstar Media Group. During her tenure, she was a key member of the executive team responsible for all corporate communications, investor relations and advising 72 TV stations on public relations, community relations, digital marketing, social media and crisis communications.
After earning her B.S. in Marketing and M.B.A from Bryant University, Courtney launched her career at a prominent advertising agency that services a number of national brands and Fortune 500 clients. She then accepted a position for a nonprofit maritime museum, where she honed her skills in developing creative marketing strategies on a budget. She is passionate about her philanthropic work and devotes much of her spare time to helping abandoned, abused and neglected dogs as a Board Member of Almost Home Rescue RI.
Serving as the past President of the American Marketing Association, RI Chapter, and Public Relations Society of America, Southeastern New England Chapter, Courtney is widely recognized as a thought leader and trusted authority for matters pertaining to marketing and communications.
Today, CGMC has long-standing relationships with all of her clients, which represent local and national companies of all sizes, operating across diverse industries.
